President's Message

Edward Everett Hale stated: "Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success." Forty-two years ago seven people came together to begin the Stamford Jewish Historical Society now the Jewish Historical Society of Fairfield County. I was one of those "Magnificent Seven". We have progressed and grown to serve as a relevant institution for our community. We provide historical and educational information and artifacts to showcase the Jewish contributions to our county, our state, our nation and our world.

Now forty-two years from the start of our organization, I have become President stating as Isaac Newton is attributed to say: "On the shoulders of giants".

We as a society and as a board must continue to work together for our success. We must strive to serve as a relevant and reliable guide.

My term will be devoted to serving out the community and honoring those "giants" who came before.
